Green Leaf transportation and Truck Driver (5)

Overall Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Farm Manager, the successful candidates will be responsible for Provision of transport of green leaf, firewood and road maintenance materials using designated company motor vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating designated motor vehicle in firewood and road maintenance materials.
  • Carrying out trouble shooting of motor vehicle/equipment.
  • Carrying out inspection and minor repairs of motor vehicles.
  • Fitting new parts in motor vehicle and equipment as instructed.
  • Attending to emergency breakdown outside as instructed.
  • Observing and complying with environmental, health and safety measures, Food safety and statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the designated motor vehicles.
  • Ensuring good company image while providing transport services.
  • Ensures that all immediate actions required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accidents
  • Reporting any food safety issues to Food Safety Team Leader.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by his/her direct supervisor.

Key Qualifications and requirements:

  • Holding a valid driving license C Category
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in the same role.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision.
  • Familiar with safety compliance
  • Good written and oral proficiency in English and Kinyarwanda (speaking, reading and writing).

Location

The role shall be based full time at the Mulindi Factory Company in Gicumbi District, Northern Province.
