Accountant
Catholic University of Rwanda (CUR) is a private higher learning institution established by Catholic Diocese of Butare in 2010. The vision of CUR is excellence in promotion of science, education of honest and committed professionals for the social, economic, technological transformation and religious training. CUR plays a key role in a sustainable development of a just, equitable and stable society through the training of responsible citizens who are committed and professionally competent and skilled in scientific fields. The conception of CUR was to create a University with a vision and a mission of contributing to the solving of development challenges in Rwanda. CUR has 6 faculties, including the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Public Health and Human Nutrition, Faculty of Catechesis and Religious Sciences and Faculty of Social Work.

The Catholic University of Rwanda has the pleasure to inform the Public that is in the process to recruit an accountant in charge of recovery complying with the following criteria
A: Education background and Experience Requirements:
• Being holder of Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and management with at least three years professional experience working as accountant, or
• Being holder of Bachelor Degree in accounting and management/Finance and Banking with at least six-month professional internship experience,
• Working knowledge of accounting system, experience in Sage System will be an added value,
• Excellent IT skills: excel, World micro-soft office, power point, etc.

B: Job Description of the accountant:
• Update students account status and CUR Sage database system regularly,
• Preparing Access Cards and delivering them to students,
• Prepare weekly/monthly, annually students payment report by Department for recovery purpose and their current status,
• Plan course of action to recover owed money,
• Handle students' questions or complaints,
• Checking if all students fulfil requirements before seating exam/CAT,
• Develop various strategies and mechanism to handle defaulters’ issues/cases,
• Filing all received accounting documents and respond to Internal and external auditors,
• Prepare and implement the annual performance contract, and
• Execute any other duty assigned to her/him by her/his director supervisor in the interest of CUR
