Call for Proposals: Design and Production of Bib Numbers and Number Plates for the 2025 UCI Road World Championships

Dear Sir/Madam,

The Rwanda Cycling Federation (FERWACY) invites qualified and experienced companies to submit proposals for the design, printing, and supply of rider bib numbers and bicycle number plates for the 2025 UCI Road World Championships, taking place in Kigali from 21st to 28th September 2025. As the first UCI Road World Championships to be held on the African continent in 125 years, this landmark event offers a unique opportunity for professional suppliers to contribute to its success through the delivery of high-quality, durable rider identification materials that meet international standards.

We are looking for a reliable partner with proven experience in producing race bibs and number plates for international sporting events, adhering to UCI standards and capable of handling large-volume production within tight timelines.

Please refer to the attached Terms of Reference (ToR) for detailed specifications, technical requirements, quantities, and evaluation criteria.

Proposals should be submitted via email to info@ferwacy.rw with the subject line:
"Proposal for UCI RWC 2025 Bib Numbers and Number Plates"

Deadline for submission: 30^th July 2025

Each proposal should include:

• Company profile and relevant production experience
• Samples or visual mock-ups of previous work (bib numbers and number plates)
• Description of materials and production process
• Delivery timeline and capacity
• Budget and quotation
• Contact details and team structure

BIB NUMBERS AND NUMBER PLATES
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

MATERIAL SUPPLY

1. BIB NUMBERS

• 10 sets of one bib number from #1 to #120 for ITT races (1 200 units total)
• 20 sets of one bib number from #1 to #200 for TTT and RR races (4 000 units total)
• 25 000 safety-pins (for the riders to pin their bib number on their jersey).
• The bib numbers must be 16cm wide by 18cm high, made of high-quality tearproof and waterproof material and Tyvek paper and printed in colour.
• The visuals of the bib numbers will be provided to the vendors.

2. NUMBER PLATES

10 sets of one number plate from #1 to #200 for RR races (2 000 units total)

10 000 zip zip ties (to install the number plates on the bikes)

The number plates must be printed on both sides and measure 13cm wide by 9cm high.

DELIVERY TIMELINE

A first test batch is expected to be delivered on Monday 4 August. The whole production must be delivered by Friday 22 August the latest.
