Job Description
• A Civil law research and reform specialist shall specifically carry out the following tasks related to civil and administrative law:
• Conduct pre research and recommend areas that require reform;
• Prepare idea or issue papers as well as discussion papers;
• Conduct extensive and thorough research on the laws that require reform and recommend accordingly;
• Analyze decisions of superior courts to ascertain their effect on legislation and making proposals for review of the affected laws;
• Maintain accurate records and an appropriate database of the information collected;
• Prepare draft reports on research conducted;
• Prepare final reports on research conducted following guidance from the division manager
Job Profile
Master's Degree or Equivalent in Civil Law,International Law, Administrative Law,Public Law or Legal Studies with 1 year of working experience or A0 in Law with 3 years of working experience
Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:
• Excellent knowledge in Rwandan civil and administrative law;
• Excellent research, analytical and writing skills;

• fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; knowledge of all is an advantage
