Cloud Sales Engineer

The role
The Cloud Sales Engineer will be responsible for growing the Cloud Computing and hosting platform, Backup, Security and Disaster Recovery solutions powered by Acronis, Microsoft Solutions and Azure Cloud Business. You have experience in selling customer cloud journey models, migration services, application development services or data services running in at least one of the hyperscale’s or more. You have a blend of commercial and technical experience in cloud services and can articulate value propositions to external customers, at multiple levels of their organization. Above all, you are a passionate person that takes ownership of his/her work and shows perseverance to reach the desired results.

Your Responsibilities
• Responsible for growing the Cloud Computing and hosting platform, Backup, Security and Disaster Recovery solutions powered by Acronis, Microsoft Solutions and Azure Cloud Business.
• Handling enterprise/strategic accounts
• Strong pitching/negotiation skills to develop new service business model (cloud service) with partners and internal counterpart
• Work side by side with hyperscale’s in identifying, driving, closing, and serving their customer base
• Build a strategic sales plan to generate and develop business opportunities across various industries
• Understand sophisticated customer requirements on both a business and technical level
• Develop and provide custom proposals based on the client service offerings and hyperscale solutions to tackle customer’s challenges
• Work closely with its partners to align on working practices and consistency.
• Excellent client service attitude and client-centric mindset. Able to understand client’s varied needs in a timely manner
• Demonstrate a high level of commitment and good initiative to meet these needs in a timely manner
• Proven track record of successes in converting sales opportunities into orders
• Proven expertise working with the executive level in large business environments
• Strong commitment to drive the business and achieve the target
• Team player with strong business acumen and new market penetration.
• Responsible for all revenue from Named Account/Cloud Service Provider
• Responsible for managing large deal pipeline and all communication with key executives.
• Achieve the target number and report in weekly forecast.
• Responsible to offer and value sell the most appropriate solutions to satisfy the needs of the client
• If required, work with Inside Sales to manage unmanaged business development with Cloud Reseller (Distributor)
• Plan/organize/assign/direct the team to ensure excellent client service is delivered through appropriate resource planning and scheduling
• Organize webinars/workshops and other initiatives with Marketing and PR on a regular basis to drive the enablement of partners and customers

The right person will be able to demonstrate:
• Proven ability in technical sales/relationship management experience
• Experience in building long-term strategic relationships at senior levels
• Strong pitching/negotiation skills to develop new service business model (cloud service) with partners and internal counterpart
• Excellent client service attitude and client-centric mindset.
• Able to understand client’s varied needs in a timely manner
• Demonstrate a high level of commitment and good initiative to meet these needs in a timely manner
• Proven track record of successes in converting sales opportunities into orders
• Proven expertise working with the executive level in large business environments
• Strong commitment to drive the business and achieve the target
• Team player with strong business acumen and new market penetration.
• Bring a consultative background in analyzing and solving customer problems or opportunities
• Lead contract negotiations along with the core sales organization
• Demonstrable experience in Cloud Computing and hosting platforms, Backup, Security and Disaster Recovery solutions, Azure, GCP and/or AWS sales
• Preferred GCP, AWS, Acronis, and Azure certifications
• Proactive and organized with excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Preferred experience in selling other hyperscale’s or private cloud as well as application or data services
• Experience in working with cross-cultural teams
• Willingness to travel
• Proficient in Kinyarwanda, English and optional French

Education and Experience
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 3-5 years overall work experience in the IT domain.
• At least 2 to 4 years of current sales and business development experience in a Cloud/SaaS/Software organization.
• New business hunter
• Sold digital solutions into the private sector
