Background

Women for Women Rwanda (WfW-Rwanda) is a national organization dedicated to supporting women and girls in Rwanda to break the vicious circle of poverty and social exclusion by enabling them to become socially and economically capable to lead themselves and their community to better health, education, and social conditions.

In partnership with GIZ, WfW-Rwanda is implementing the “Strengthening Women-led Cooperatives in Rwanda” Project. This initiative targets cooperative members’ development in various value chains including French beans value Chain by providing trainings on good agriculture practice, as well as constructing affordable sorting rooms for three women-led cooperatives to help reduce post-harvest losses.

Women for Women Rwanda seeking to invite qualified bidders to bid through a competitive tender process on equal ground. Bidders should read the tender package carefully and comply with all submission guidelines using the tender reference number above for all correspondences. Failure to comply with submission guidelines may lead Women for Women Rwanda to disqualify their submission.

Tender instructions

Title of the tender: “Construction of three low-cost sorting rooms including charcoal cooler systems for women’s led cooperatives in Gikomero and Bumbogo sectors, Gasabo District.”

Lot1: “construction of one low-cost sorting room including charcoal cooler system for women’s cooperative in Bumbogo sector, Gasabo District.”

Lot2: “construction of two low-cost sorting rooms including charcoal cooler systems for women’s cooperatives in Gikomero sector, Gasabo District.”

The Tender Document may be obtained from WfW-Rwanda office located at

Kimihurura, KG 624, Av.15 after presenting the bank pay slip of non-refundable fee of Ten thousand (RWF 10 000) Rwandan Francs to the WfW-Rwanda Account No:00040-06986048-50 in Bank of Kigali. The Proof of payment must bear the tender reference number and the title of the tender with specified Lot.

Compulsory sites visit is scheduled for 13/02/2025 at 10:00AM local time from Women for Women Rwanda Office to Bumbogo and Gikomero sites. Those who will come later (after 10:00 AM local time) will not have permission to visit the site.

Bid Submission deadline will be on 19/02/2025 before 4:00 pm.Please note that;the submitted Bid after deadline will not be considered.

The bids remain valid for a period of 120 days starting from the submission deadline above mentioned.
