JOB DETAILS:
CONSUMER ELECTRICS TECHNICIAN
ECOPOW3R LTD (E3P) seeks an experienced Consumer Electrics Technician (CET). The position is a part of the Consumer Electrics Team, which is led by the Consumer Electrics Lead and Consumer Electrics Assistant.
The position reports to the Consumer Electrics Lead. The role will involve working in ECOPOW3R's implementation sites in Bugesera District and is based from Nyamata, Bugesera.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Installation of consumer electrics in customer’s homes:
• Conducting installations of electrical systems (primarily lights and sockets) in customer’s homes.
• CETs must be familiar with, and ensure their work conforms to RS 565-1:2011, RS 474-1:2011 and SANS 10142-1:2017.
• CETs must ensure that they have and continue to hold a valid RURA Electricians Permit to a minimum level of Class A.
• Abiding by ECOPOW3R’s SOPs and Process Documents:
• CETs must have knowledge of and ensure that they are complying with E3P’s own SOPs and processes to ensure that they are conducting work to our Standard.
• CETs must abide by, follow and promote E3P’s established health and safety protocols.

Skills
• Ability to work as a team, with an eye for detail and able to follow Standards;
• Good spoken English is an advantage.
Qualification
• Formal qualification as an electrician, electrical engineer or similar;
• Minimum two years demonstrable experience working as an electrician or similar;
• Applicants should hold a valid Class A RURA Electricians Permit;

•• Experience leading compliance departments and developing HSE cultures within organisations;
