JOB DETAILS:
Shandong Taikai Power Engineering Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as TAIKAI), is a Chinese economic entity of independent corporate capacity, which enjoys rights of international engineering contracting and foreign trade as well as import and export of electric products. TAIKAI specializes in international engineering contracting of HV Power Transmission and Transformation projects as well as exporting of complete equipment. The TAIKAI-China CAMC Engineering Co.Ltd Joint Venture has been awarded the contract of Regional Rusumo Falls Hydropower Project-Transmission Lines components-Lot 2 substations (Bugesera and Shango Substations). As a part of a consortium, TAIKAI is looking for a qualified, self-driven and committed individual to join in the position of ES (Environmental and Social) Specialist. .

  Job Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and implementation of the environmental and social management system related to the project, including relevant and associated policies, procedures and technical specification.
• Collaborate with the project team on the environmental and social policy compliance review including performance reports and other supervision and implementation support activities.
• Report to the Management on the status of implementation of the environmental and social management system
• Managing the project permitting requirements and procedures related to the environment.
• Manage Liaison with a company and relevant state& regulatory agencies.
• Ensuring that CESMM and other ES related plans are fully and well implemented
• Submitting clear and concise written reports based on on-site inspections
• Conduct regular ES site inspection and reporting
• Investigate and Report on Environmental accidents within the site work area.

  Job Skills:
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently, articulate issues and recommend solutions.
• Strong coordination, facilitation, and supervision of site activities
• Strong analytical skills, ability to think strategically, analyze diverse information and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Professional fluency in oral and written English and Kinyarwanda

  Job Qualifications:
• Having at least a bachelor degree in the environment or in any engineering field; Master degree will be an asset
• Having proven experience as an ES Specialist on at least 3 energy-related projects, Having experience on substations project will be an asset
