JOB DETAILS:
TUBITEHO is a Non-Governmental Organization legally recognized by Rwandan law No34 / RGB / NGO / 08.11 / 11. It wishes to become a national benchmark in terms of the provision of services and the socio-economic inclusion of children and young people with intellectual disabilities. To do this, it intends to devote itself both to the quality of the improvement of its specialized and inclusive education, medical, professional, and socio-economic care services for people with intellectual disabilities to become a center of excellence in the city of Kigali and the strengthening of its own organizational and technical capacities in terms of human, material and financial resources .

RESPONSIBILITIES
FUNCTION 1: Educational supervision
Main tasks
• Participate in the identification and assessment of learners before their placement.
• Prepare lessons and other educational and socio-educational activities for the group of beneficiaries to which he (she) is assigned.
• Participate, as a leader, in the development and implementation of individual educational projects (IEP) of beneficiaries under his responsibility.

FUNCTION 2: Social integration of children from the day center into families
Main tasks
• Collaborate with the families of beneficiaries hosted at the Tubiteho day center
• Participate in individual and group meetings of parents of beneficiaries.
• Carry out home visits, if relevant

FUNCTION 4: Planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting
Main tasks
• Develop a daily/weekly / monthly and annual activity plan for the group of beneficiaries for whom he (she) is responsible
• Carry out a regular assessment of the skills of the beneficiaries under his responsibility
• Establish the transcripts of each beneficiary
• Establish monthly, quarterly, and annual activity reports of the beneficiaries under his responsibility

SKILLS:
• Very good skills in lesson preparation and evaluation
• Writing skills in French and English.
• Qualities of analysis and synthesis of the child’s needs
• Teamwork
• Good knowledge of the curriculum for children with intellectual disabilities
• Good knowledge of the Learner centered method
• Relational skills.
• Listening skills
• Flexibility and ability to lay the frame.
• Empathy and commitment to children with disabilities
• Patience.
• Easy communication.

QUALIFICATIONS
• At least 3 years in special and or inclusive education.
• Experience of at least 3 years in educational supervision of children with intellectual and mental disabilities
• Work experience in a special or inclusive school
• Experience working with parents of children with disabilities

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
