  Electrical Technician

Key Areas Of Accountability:
We are looking for an experienced electrical technician to evaluate, assemble, servicing and maintain electrical systems in halfway house restaurant, Administration block, Maintenance block, changing room, driving range and Golf Course rain shelters, the electrical technician we are hiring for does not design electrical systems but will identify potential problems in design, he/she will also require to do the follow up of power generators servicing and ensure that the sources for back-up power stays reliable.

The electrical technician that RUGC is looking for should be able to read, interprets the electrical system design plans and recommend for improvements, as well as calibrate instruments, and diagnose faulty equipment. He/She will be supervised by the technical department and working closely with the technical department team.

Responsibilities:
• Carrying out general Electrical, white goods &Plumbing repairs as requested by technical manager
• Follow up Preventive maintenance plan as directed by the technical Manager.
• Carrying out the Electrical routine maintenance
• Ensure the contractors complete the work as per agreed Standards.
• Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
• Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning electrical line, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
• Constructing and fabricating parts, using hand tools and specifications.
• Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Advising management on continued use of unsuitable equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
• Ordering of electrical supplies and equipment.
• Any other work related to electrical maintenance assigned by the technical manager

Qualifications And Experience
• 2-year electrical, technical, or related degree.
• Completion of an electrical apprenticeship.
• At least 2 years' experience as an electrical technician.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge in white goods (fridge, washing machine, electrical cooker, etc )
• Experience operating hand and power tools, soldering and fault-testing equipment.
• Knowledge of international health and safety standards
• Basic knowledge of technical specifications and purchasing
