SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

The Enumerator will be responsible for collecting high-quality data to support project monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning activities, conduct field surveys, interviews, and observations in accordance with established data collection tools and guidelines. The role requires accuracy, integrity, and professionalism to ensure reliable and timely data that informs project decision-making

MAIN KEY RESULTS

  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data accurately and efficiently using digital or paper-based tools, as instructed.
  • Fully participate in training sessions and field pre-tests prior to data collection.
  • Conduct household and community interviews following ethical and professional data collection standards.
  • Work closely with FH Rwanda Area programs teams and field supervisors to reach the communities and shareholders for interviews and measurements while ensuring quality and timely data submission.
  • Verify completeness and accuracy of collected data before submission.
  • Provide feedback on challenges encountered in the field to improve data quality and logistics.
  • Follow all FH Rwanda policies, procedures, and guidelines during assignments.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors in the field.
  • Always ensure data confidentiality and integrity.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agribusiness, Veterinary Medicine, Education, Social Science, Statistics, rural or community development, Economics, and Public Health.
  • Proven previous experience in data collection/surveys, for the assessment or evaluation of the projects/program’s interventions in domains of Agriculture, Education, Health and nutrition, economics, rural development, business administration, or water and Sanitation for a recognized non-profit making or government organization
  • Should be familiar with computer-assisted interviews (eg. ODK, KoboToolbox ) and have the ability to use electronic devices, i.e. tablets or smartphones
  • Willingness to travel independently and extensively within very remote rural communities.
  • S/He should be physically fit to travel long distances and hilly landscapes/topography, as well as able to work for full day working hours in the field for at least 5days.
  • Ability to maintain anonymity/confidentiality and trust with people.
  • Fluency in both Kinyarwanda and English
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
