Rwanda Medical Supply Limited is a large scale corporation created and owned by the Government of Rwanda. RMS ltd objective is to ensure the availability of medicines, medical supplies, and consumables in the right quantity, with the acceptable quality, to the right place and customers, at the right time and with optimum cost to the Rwandan population.

RMS Ltd is a State-owned company created by the Government of Rwanda with the mandate of managing the end-to-end health supply chain for Rwanda. RMS Ltd provides pharmaceuticals and health commodities towards 5 rights: the right patient, the right drug/dose, the right cost, the right route, and the right time. The vision of RMS Ltd is to ensure quality and timely availability of all health commodities to the public through a cost-efficient, sustainable and effective supply chain. Drugs will be available throughout the country through an economical and financially sustainable supply chain that can meet current and future need and manage increasing complexity RMS Ltd is looking for qualified, dedicated & experienced individuals to fill the following position:

IT Infrastructure Specialist:(1)
Duties and responsibilities
• Designing, building, configuring, documenting, and deploying infrastructure and systems.
• Designing and implementing automated delivery pipelines to ensure timely delivery of applications, systems, infrastructure, and related updates
• Solving complex business and technical problems in collaboration with colleagues from the technology teams as well as functional stakeholders
• Supporting, monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting infrastructure with a focus on automated solutions
• Developing, managing, and testing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Helm, Git, and other tools

Qualification and Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information and Communication Technology with 2 years of working experience in ICT field.
Professional Certificates like A+, Security, Network+ CCNA, ITIL, VCP, MCSE, CCNP, MCITP. MCP, Linux etc. would be added advantage with maximum of 28 years old.

Knowledge and technical skills required:
• Knowledge of critical components of an Enterprise Resource Planning Software and System Interoperability requirements
• Wide knowledge of operating systems administrations such as windows, Mac, and Linux, programming languages such as Java, Python, etc along with cloud deployments and networking protocols.
• Experience with deploying cloud solutions, administrative procedures and configuration for Windows and Linux operating environments
• Strong understanding of virtual servers, cloud-native applications, networks, firewalls, load balancers, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, DFSR, Group Policy;
• Experience of cloud platforms (Azure/ Amazon AWS)
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server and Linux and SQL Server Administration
• Have an in depth understanding of Kubernetes and container based applications, building Kubernetes from scratch and maintaining the environment
• Experience with virtualization tools (eg. VMWare/HyperV);
• Experience with various database systems, network security, and cloud systems
• Excellent knowledge of development, testing, release engineering, and performance optimization, etc.
• Experience using Terraform, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions and advanced training preferred
• Outstanding verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills.
• Ability to translate IT jargon to non IT people:
• Ability to build partnership and create connections with stakeholders to support the sector’s digital transformation
• Strong experience with securing containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong experience with implementing security measures as Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Strong experience with embedding security into Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery pipelines.
• Experience in building, scaling, and automating infrastructure vulnerability management programs and tools (Qualys, Nessus, Rapid7, etc.)
• Experience with Continuous Integration and deployment with automated testing
• Experience with design and development of tools for managing the infrastructure and experience with programmed clean & re-usable code.
• Good working experience with database administration/optimization
