ASL Rwanda EPZE Ltd is a fast growing In-flight Catering Company in Rwanda and started its operations from August 2014 and has been providing catering services to scheduled airlines, private jet and charters for four years now. ASL Rwanda aims to be one of the biggest aviation catering company in Africa in few years to come.
As part of this strategy we are looking for interested qualified and enthusiastic candidates to fill the positions mentioned below:
Job Title: Operations manager Dept. Head)
Reporting Line: General Manager
Department: Operations
Role: This is a senior management role which involves overseeing operation department and the provision of services. The operations manager makes sure an organization is running as well as it possibly can, with a smooth efficient service that meets the expectations and needs of customers and clients.
Key Interfaces External: Internal: Other managers, unions/ Works Council
External: Local community, customers, authorities, advisors, unions, auditors Main Accountabilities (including specific challenges) Business Strategy, Policies, and Tools

• Execute the implementation of the department planning
• Ensure compliance with the policies
• He/she is responsible for maintaining high standards in Catering Unit Operations.
  Managing Business
• Follow organizational directives, policies and achieve highest customer satisfaction, increase profitability
• To ensure on-time performance and effectiveness of the departments through defined procedures controls.
• Provide data for the development of an annual business plan and budgeting for the department
• Implement the short -term operation planning in coordination with other relevant interfaces. Ensure efficient and timely corrective actions in case of significant deviations
• Oversee the department’s economic and operating performance. Ensure that the department is managed and controlled efficiently in line with the company’s framework and market requirements. Lead the department to achieve the budget targets and initiate corrective actions if necessary
  Qualification, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience.
• Knowledge of international airports operations is an added advantage
• Proficient in English.
• Driving licence
• Knowledge of the operative flow and rules;
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of Experience in production, operation and managerial experience.
• Proven work experience as operations manager/project management,
• Adequate knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
• Budget development and oversight experience
• Familiarity with business and financial principles and practices
• Working knowledge of budgets, forecasting, and metrics
• Basic IT skills (databases, MS Office etc.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
• Knowledge of international airports operations is an added advantage
• Proficient in English.
• Knowledge of the operative flow and rules;
• BBA (degree) in related field
