Mara Phones high-quality smartphones manufacturing facility is scheduled to be operational by April 2019, located in Kigali Special Economic Zone in Masoro- Gasabo District.
Mara Phones is looking for self-motivated, qualified individuals with the right attitude and a passion for innovation to join our team on the following positions:
Packaging Supervisor- 1 position
Min Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecom Engineering or any other related field
Industry Experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ Experience in the Manufacturing industry in a Supervisory role or Team Leader role
• Experience in an automated industry will have an added advantage
• Supervise the complete Manufacturing procedure from end to end
Core Duties
• Ensure the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the manufacturing activities
• Supervise and coordinate all activities of production staff
• Liaise with the Factory Manager for all orders to ensure accurate and timely dispatch
• Check and ensure all key lines (Barcode, Box Printing, Item Name, labels etc.) requirements for each customer is met as per company norms
• Ensure proper maintenance and operation of all packaging equipment
Responsibilities
• Leadership skills to lead a team
• Maintain cleanliness of the production area at all times
• Inspect products
• Maintain time and production records

• Demonstrated ability to establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
• Demonstrated ability to interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations
• Demonstrated ability to identify & implement best practices
• Demonstrated ability to perform with high levels of ambiguity
• Corporate training program graduate (manufacturing / operations / engineering)
• Strong analytical skills
• Prior supervisory / leadership experience in a mobile manufacturing team based environment is preferred
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to understand and follow the prescribed manufacturing process
• Demonstrated ability to train subordinates
• Ability to start, adjust, and repair packaging machinery, or notifies maintenance department
