About us
Ishango.ai is the bridge between Africa’s top data science talent and global business. We run a fully funded Data Science fellowship program. We select the top graduates across Africa, build their technical and professional skills and provide them with real world experience working remotely on projects for international companies.

The role
We’re looking for a Data science fellowship programme manager based in Kigali, Rwanda.
• Provide operational support in delivering the ishango.ai data science fellowship programme including recruiting, onboarding and supporting our community of fellows, mentors and partners
• Developing strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders in Rwanda and across Africa
• Researching potential funding opportunities and proposal writing.
• Monitoring the progress and impact of the programme and preparing reports for our various stakeholders

The candidate
• A minimum of 2 years programme/project management experience with a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
• Proven experience working on projects/programmes in a multicultural environment with clients/partners from around the globe.
• Exceptional organisational and multi-tasking skills with experience managing multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and requests
• An active interest in technology and social innovation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and fluent written and spoken English
• An ambitious, energetic, self-starter who is able to take direction and get stuff done with little supervision.
