Africa Improved Foods (AIF), is a Public-Private Partnership focused on addressing malnutrition through the production of nutritious, high-quality fortified foods. It is a joint venture involving a number of international organizations: DSM – the largest nutrition company in the world; the World Bank (IFC); the UK Govt (CDC) the Dutch Govt (FMO). The Government of Rwanda, and the World Food Programme.
Our products are intended to address malnutrition among vulnerable population segments such as pregnant and breast-feeding mothers, older infants and young children especially in the first 1,000 days of their life. To this end, we have built a world-class food processing plant in Rwanda – to serve the East Africa region - and are now expanding into Ethiopia.
In as much as we are a commercial, for-profit organization, we also strive to have the maximum social, economic and environmental impact possible on the communities in which we operate. In this respect, we have strong working relationships with reputable NGOs across the EAC Region.
Our model is to source raw materials from local small-holder farmers, employ, develop and to deploy local talent in the creation and growth of our fortified foods business.

Purpose of the job
Strive to meet customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives for the brand, by promoting our products through marketing activities, such as in-person demonstrations, at different events, instore activations, etc. .

Required level of experience
• Setting up and maintaining a demonstration area, such as a table, stand, or booth at various events
• Keeping the demonstration area tidy and well stocked with products, samples, and/or literature.
• Demonstrating the features of a product or service to potential customers
• Answering any questions potential customers might have about a product or service
• Recording transactions and stock levels
• Ensuring product availability
• Generating reports that outline customers’ interest levels, questions asked, number of products/samples/literature sold and/or distributed at various events
• Staying up to date with product features
Educational Level and Knowledge
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Brand Management, Communication or Business
• Proven working experience as a Promoter
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
• Customer-oriented approach
• Outgoing and friendly personality
• Professional appearance
• Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda speaking is required. Other languages would be an added advantage
Working experience
• Minimum of 1 – 3 years of working experience in Marketing & Communication or any related field
