JOB DETAILS:
Purpose of Role
Management of the inbound and outbound logistics and ensuring excellent customer service in the area of plan and deliver.
Qualifications & Experience Required
• Bachelor’s degree in management, Business Administration, Procurement, and supply Chain Management.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain or similar role(s).
• Having commercial and business awareness
• Supply Chain strategy development
• Knowledge on product, process, and Quality Assurance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and Team player
Accountabilities
Supplier Management
• Supply chain responsibilities for distribution and warehousing from factory to ocean shipment, including the development of new supply chain models.
• Ensure the efficient and accurate processing, management, and storage of tea stocks in the Mombasa warehouse.
• Management of service providers in Mombasa (shipping companies, transport companies, warehouses, tea brokers etc)
• Define and implement the required processes, documentation, and information exchange between, customer and service providers to ensure seamless flow of information.
• Monitor the performance of service providers against agreed contract and service agreement.
• Approve suppliers’ (shipping/transport companies, warehouses, tea brokers etc) invoices for payment.
• In conjunction with Assistant Customer Service Manager measure and analyse SOTIF and allocate correct quality losses
• Resolve issues that come up (e.g. delays in delivery, accidents)
• Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (e.g. use of trucks, forklifts)
• Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards.
Stock Management
• Ensure the efficient and accurate allocation of stocks to fulfil contracts.
• Co-ordinate with Supply Planning department stock availability in correct location as required to fill contracts.
• Co-ordinate with shipping agents and Service and Logistics officer invoicing and shipping of contracts
• Check and approve all shipping / delivery orders before despatch
• Maintain and analyse stock conformance report.
• Forestall / minimize stock related risks
