JOB DETAILS:
Senior Manager Electricity and Renewable Energy Regulation
Reporting to: General Manager for Energy, Water and Sanitation
Level: C
Qualification: Masters in Electrical Power Engineering, Energy Systems, Renewable Energy or an related field with 3 year working experience in the energy sector.

Key Duties and Responsibilities;
• Develop strategic approach for technical regulation of the Electricity & Renewable energy sectors;
• Coordinate all activities related to technical regulation and provide guidance as required;
• Monitor the electricity sector performance and report on sector development;
• Compile all regulatory reports and propose enforcement measures where necessary;
• Coordinate technical inputs for the review of electricity tariffs
• Develop the Unit's strategic and operational plans and corresponding budgets;
• Coordinate the assessment of applications for licenses, permits and authorisations related to electricity & Renewable; Advise RURA Senior Management and stakeholders on electricity and renewable energy policies
