TENDER ANNOUNCEMENT

Title: Supply of Agricultural Materials and Building Green House and irrigation system to Rweri in Gahengeri District

Merry Year International (hereinafter as ‘MYI’) is an international self-reliance development NGO that provides constant opportunities to neglected neighbours around the world to become independent. Merry Year International seeks ways for people in need to stand on their own feet and create sustainable economic communities.

MYI is currently carrying out an agricultural sector support project for the self-reliance of farmers in Rweri Cell in the Gahengeri sector. MYI hereby invites national bidders who can supply seeds, fertilizers, and inputs needed for farming activities and be capable to carry out some construction(Greenhouse, water pumps extension). We would like to request your best and final offer in Rwandan Francs (RWF) for the following services.

1. DESCRIPTION OF TENDER

The purpose of this tender is to supply various inputs of the MYI project for the self-reliance of rural residents of Rweri Cell in Gahengeri Sector.

• Relating to agricultural activities

Seeds and agricultural inputs (such as manure and fertilizer) are supplied to farmland equivalent to 4.8ha of Rweri Cell. The plan for each input should be shared with MYI in a total of two agricultural seasons, and each corresponding element should be input according to the plan.
In addition, eco-friendly cultivation is planned for one greenhouse currently in possession and one greenhouse to be newly built. For these 2 units of greenhouses, organic fertilizers and pesticides are required to be provided.

• Greenhouse construction and maintenance

A new greenhouse construction will be undergoing to grow eco-friendly crops. Inputs and budget required for the construction and procurement process will be shared, and the whole construction plan must include the budget as well as maintenance and repair-related matters.

• Water pump extension

Currently, water pumps are not installed for 1 ha of farmland, so it is necessary to extend the water pump to supply agricultural water for 1 ha. Inputs and budget required for the construction and procurement process will be shared, and the whole construction plan must include the budget as well as maintenance and repair-related matters.

• Tractor Purchase

MYI has a plan to purchase a tractor for farming. The plan should include how to operate and maintain the tractor and guarantee and after care service period. .

2. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

All documents listed below must be shared and all written in English.

• A notified copy of the trading License,
• A proof to use Electronic Billing Machine (EBM): A copy of an invoice submitted in the past.
• Valid Tax clearance certificate provided by Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA),
• Social Security Clearance issued by RSSB,
• Original copy of Certificate of registration for VAT
• A valid certificate of non-bankruptcy issued by RDB
• Bank information (Bank name, Bank account, and account name)
• Technical Proposal and Work Plan
• Financial Proposal 

     3. SUBMISSION

Financial and administrative documents are only accepted through e-mail (myi.rwanda@myi.or.kr) with the title "Document for the tender of MYI_Company name" The submission should be made by no later than Thursday 8th June 2023 10:00 AM (Kigali Time). Kindly note that any proposals received after the specified closing time will not be accepted. After selecting the final winner, MYI might ask for a hard copy of all documents. All documents will be opened on the same day immediately after terminating the submission (Thursday 8th June 2023 at 10:00 AM, Kigali Time).
