About East African University Rwanda (EAUR)

East African University Rwanda (EAUR) is a private university accredited by the Government of Rwanda. Since its establishment in 2015 in Nyagatare District, it has expanded to Kigali City, Gasabo District, Remera Sector (Kisment). EAUR offers unique programs accredited by the Higher Education Council (HEC) and Rwanda TVET Board (RTB), including Bachelor’s Degrees, Diplomas, and short courses across disciplines such as Film Making and Production, Leisure, Tourism and Hotel Management, Mass Communication and Journalism, Business Studies, and Education.

EAUR also provides professional certifications like Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and ICDL (International Computer Driving License) while accommodating flexible learning schedules, day, evening, and weekend sessions.

Introduction to the  Professional Training Program

Building on the success of previous training sessions, this new program includes contemporary topics critical to organizations navigating today’s dynamic landscape. This enhanced professional training program is tailored to equip participants with advanced skills in:

1. Grants Proposal Writing:Develop the expertise to craft compelling proposals that appeal to donors and secure funding.
2. Carbon Credit Management:Gain insights into managing carbon credits as part of environmental and sustainability initiatives.
3. Data Analysis Using SPSS/STATA/EViews:Practical training on analyzing data for research and decision-making.
4. Big Data Analysis:Learn techniques to manage and analyze large datasets for business intelligence and innovation.
5. Cyber Security:Understand foundational principles and best practices to safeguard digital assets against cyber threats

Course Content

The program covers the following areas:

Grants Proposal Writing:

• Donor research and engagement strategies
• Structuring winning proposals
• Writing executive summaries and impact narratives

Carbon Credit Management:

• Understanding carbon markets and trading mechanisms
• Designing carbon-offset projects
• Monitoring and reporting environmental impact

Data Analysis Using SPSS/STATA/EViews:

• Statistical modeling and hypothesis testing
• Data cleaning and visualization

Big Data Analysis:

• Data mining and machine learning techniques
• Using tools like Python and R for big data processing

Cyber Security:

• Cyber threat identification and mitigation
• Best practices in organizational cyber defense

Participants may select specific modules for certification, which will be reflected in their Certificate of Completion.

Training Methods

The program employs an interactive, workshop-based methodology to enhance learning:

• Practical Exercises:Work on real-world data and cases
• Case Studies:Learn from successful proposals, carbon projects, and cyber security practices
• Group Discussions:Foster collaboration and knowledge exchange

Certification

Participants who achieve a pass mark of 60% will receive a Certificate of Completion from EAUR.  A 50% discount on the training fee applies to EAUR Alumni, staff, students, partners, returning participants who attended any previous international conferences or professional training sessions at EAUR.
