JOB DETAILS:

Voice And Accountability/Civic Education Expert: Cat. Ii (>6 Years Of Experience)
• General description of the position: Expert who will lead on the voice and accountability component as foreseen under priority 3 of the MIP.

Qualifications And Skills Required:
• Master degree in law or social sciences, with a minimum experience (6 years) in project formulation, and/or implementation.
• Excellent written and spoken English, as well as excellent communication skills are required.
• General professional experience: A minimum of six (6) years of international professional experience in development, with an expertise in projects related to voice, accountability, civic education and, media/CSO support projects.
• Specific professional experience: # Track record in programme management including appraisal, design, implementation, having led (or participated in) at least three similar assignments in comparable developing country contexts;
• Good understanding and/or having conducted capacity building needs assessments of similar partners;
• Experience in specific voice and accountability projects and/or media/CSO support programmes is a key advantage;
• Experience in/with EU external assistance projects and programmes strongly desirable; # Knowledge of EU Procedures, in particular financial regulations, in the context of project’simplementation is an important advantage; # Regional experience is an advantage.

Language skills:
• A minimum C2-level expertise in English is required
• Knowledge of French is an asset
• Minimum number of working days: 50 days.
