Job Description

• Participating in the diagnosis and treatment plan for patients
  
• Providing very basic patient needs, such as administering medications, monitoring for side effects which may be experienced
  
• Ensuring that patients maintain personal hygiene.
  
• Explaining the patient's condition and treatment plan to their family members.
  
• Submit monthly, quarterly and annually report to the supervisor
  
• Perform other related duties as required
  

Job Profile

A1/ A0 Mental Health

Technical Skills & Knowledge required :

• Knowledge in Mental Health care and General nursing
  
• Knowledge in Social psychology
  
• Skilled in building relationships with patients to encourage trust, while listening to and interpreting their needs and concerns;
  
• Skilled in ensuring the correct administration of medication, including injections, and monitoring the results of treatment;
  
• Skilled in responding to distressed patients in a non threatening manner and attempting to understand the source of distress;
  
• Knowledge of Managing patients' data and medical records;
  
• Knowledge of Interacting with doctors, patients and family members;
  
• Be registered in National Council of Nurses;
  
• Good knowledge of Rwanda Health System;
  
• Interpersonal Skills and Effective communication skills;
  
• Time Management Skills;
  
• Computer Skills;
  
• Team work , creativity and human interaction management skills;
  
• Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; knowledge of all is an advantage
