JOB DETAILS:
WEB DEVELOPERS (2) - ROLE DESCRIPTION
Working Schedule: Monday – Friday (08:00 AM to 17:00HRS) - 45 hours a week.
Duration: Six (6) months.
Duty Station: Kigali, RWANDA
Reporting to: Projects Coordinator
We are looking for a Web Developer to be responsible for the innovative designs, coding, and implementation of web-based e-learning solutions. Overall responsibilities include implementing the customer vision into a reality by completing analysis, designs, and developer tests on the final e-learning solution. Strive to create visually appealing solutions with user-friendly design and clear navigation. .

Responsibilities
• Participate in customer interactions to collect and analyze customer requirements and expectations.
• Create/implement polished web layouts and user interfaces by using advanced HTML/CSS practices.
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
• Produce and maintain software documentation including system designs, manuals, and testing reports
• Responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling the customer e-learning portal
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities

Requirements
• Proven experience or competency in web programming and web applications development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and API's.
• Familiar with mobile apps development technologies.
• Familiarity with MVC architecture and knowledge of at least one of PHP Frameworks
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Should be knowledgeable on collaboration tools such as Slack, Github, or Jira.
• Candidate must have a strong understanding of web UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions, and standards
• Adequate knowledge of relational database systems
• Basic knowledge of the Search Engine Optimization process
• Should possess creative problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines.
• Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
• BS in Computer Science or a related degree program.
• Knowledge of open-source E-learning platforms will be an added advantage.
