ARC GIS LEAD
ECOPOW3R LTD seeks an experienced candidate for the position of ARC GIS Lead. This position works within the Survey Team, identifying and proposing new potential sites for implementation of EcoPow3r’s solar mini-grids. Their use of GIS data helps inform feasibility studies and reporting of potential future sites to the Operations Team.
The position reports to the Survey Lead and Chief Operating Officer (COO). ECOPOW3R is based in Nyamata, Bugesera.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create and manage spatial data for the Survey Team;
• Conduct routine analysis of data for potential implementation sites;
• Prepare feasability studies for potential new implementation sites;
• Complete proposals and reports alongside the Survey Lead for the Operations Team to guide future mini-grid implementations;
• Work alongside the Survey Lead to bid for tenders for future sites.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• Diploma or degree relating to using GIS data;
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and to take initiative;
• Very strong computer proficiency, ARC GIS is a must. Experience with software such as Dropbox and Google Docs is an advantage;
• English fluency, both spoken and written, is required.
