Job Description
- Work with Project Coordinator to identify, evaluate, and analyses potential projects for funding;
- Assist in preparation of project proposals and business plans for potential projects for funding by HGBF Project;
- Assist in the planning and preparing the of the budget for the project;
- Supervise the project site managers to ensure proper implementation of field activities;
- Coordinate field activities for productive investments;
- Coordinate data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
- Oversee the harmonization of all productive investments activities to ensure that the value chain approach is considered;
- Prepare periodic activities progress reports;
- Facilitating project contractors to ensure that activities and services are done on schedule;
- Reviewing and confirming the O&M schedule and content, including training programs for technicians prepared by Contractor.
- Preparing weekly and monthly progress reports
Job Profile
Qualification:
- Masters in Agricultural Sciences, Economics, Project management, Agribusiness, Agro - economics with 4 years in a senior management position, or BSc /BA degree in the same with 6 years working Experience in a management position.
Key competencies:
- Ability to identify potential productive investments in the agriculture sector.
- Ability to appraise investment projects and prepare project proposals.
- Ability to prepare and analyze business plans.
- Ability to analyze problems and propose alternative solutions.
- Strategic planning skills, setting goals and objectives and preparing action plans.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other institutions and building trust among peers from other projects and institutions.
- Team leadership and proper staff management and supervision.
- Good communication, analytical, and report writing skills.
- Ability to develop field activities’ monitoring and evaluation process.
- Fluent in either English or French and knowledge of Kinyarwanda is commendable. Being Computer Literate.
