About the role:
As a Bridal Attendant/stylist, you will be the first point of contact for our brides-to-be, guiding them through the exciting journey of finding their perfect gown. Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide an exceptional customer experience: Welcome / greet brides and their guests with warmth and professionalism ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable from the moment they arrive.
- Appointment Preparation: Prepare fitting rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and ready for the bride’s appointment. Assisting brides in and out of gowns and accessories, ensuring a comfortable and positive fitting experience.
- Conduct personalized consultations: one-on-one consultations, listen attentively to understand and to provide each bride’s unique style, preferences, and wedding vision.
- Curate and style gowns: Use your extensive knowledge of bridal designers, fabrics, and silhouettes to select and showcase gowns and accessories that match the bride’s style and body type.
- Merchandising: Assist in maintaining the showroom’s impeccable appearance, including organizing and tidying the gown displays and other merchandise to ensure it is properly displayed.
- Operational Support: Assist with general boutique duties such as answering phones, managing appointment bookings (Schedule, confirm, and prepare for upcoming appointments), customer follow-ups, and daily boutique administration.
- Inventory Management: Help receive new inventory, tag items, and keep track of stock to ensure gowns are ready for appointments.
- Sell and accessorize: Expertly recommend and sell complementary accessories, such as veils, jewelry, and shoes, to complete the bride’s look. Meeting and exceeding sales targets with a supportive, non-pushy approach.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in retail, sales, or customer service is a plus, with bridal experience being highly advantageous. Beginners’ knowledge on tailoring is an add on.
- A strong passion for bridal fashion and a keen eye for style and detail. Staying up-to-date with the latest bridal and wedding trends is a must.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You can build genuine relationships with clients and communicate effectively with your team.
- A friendly, respectful, and energetic attitude and adaptable team player. You should thrive in a fast-paced setting and are eager to learn and grow.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to handle stressful situations with grace.
- Dependable and hardworking, with the ability to lift up to 35 pounds (15 kg) to move dresses. That is the ability to lift and move gowns and boxes, which can be heavy.
- Availability to work on weekends and evenings, as these are peak business hours for bridal appointments.
- Should be fluent in Rwandan and English.
