Consolidation Engineer

About the job
Responsibilities
• Consolidate Group Financials on a monthly basis and implement related automated tools;
• Analyse the reporting package of the Group’s entities and perform consistency checks;
• Develop and improve the current reporting package by implementing additional reporting schedules comprising financial and non-financial data;
• Use and modify the SQL queries integrated in the consolidation tool to improve and adapt dashboards to the needs of the company;
• Assist the consolidation manager in his role and ad hoc projects.

Education & Experience:
• University degree in Information Technology, Finance or equivalents;
• 2 to 5 years of experience in audit, accounting or finance (consolidation experience is a plus);
• CPA Finalist/ACCA qualified or its equivalent

Skills:
• Excellent knowledge of VB.net (Mandatory) and SQL language (highly recommended)
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Power BI is a plus);
• Utilization of a consolidation tool such as Hyperion, Tagetik or OneStream is a plus;

Competencies:
• Ability to conceptualize the needs and transform them in automated tools to simplify the monthly closing;
• Strong analytical skills and capacity to challenge the financial information;
• Curious, is keen to learn and ready for new challenges;
• Ability to work independently

Languages:
• Strong English verbal and writing skills;
• Other languages are a plus
