JOB DETAILS:
GENDER MONITORING OFFICE .
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct gender analysis of private, CSO,s and religious institutions plans, policies, Strategies, programmes and projects for effective mainstreaming of gender;
• Provide technical guidance to the development of strategies and projects;
• Promote the use of gender disaggregated data;
• Develop gender sensitive indicators in private CSO’s and religious institutions ;
• Ensure regular update of gender sensitive data;
• Conduct gender audit in private, CSOs and Religious Institutions;
• Develop tools and guide lines for effective monitoring of gender mainstreaming in private, CSOs and religious Institutions
• Contribute to gender sensitive research and ensure dissemination of findings to stakeholders for effective planning and decision making;
• Provide advice, opinion on laws, policies and strategies regarding gender mainstreaming;
• Act as a liaison between GMO and private, CSO’s and religious institutions
• Monitor the implementation of gender responsive budgeting
• Produce briefing papers, presentations, and speeches related to gender
• Work closely with NISR to monitor the implementation of GSF
• Organise public debates and dialogues related to gender
• Participate and support the preparation of annual national report on the state of gender
• Participate in the planning and budgeting process of the Gender Monitoring Office;
• Submit periodical reports to the Director of Gender Monitoring and Audit Unit;
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor;
• Conduct gender analysis of sector plans, policies, Strategies, programmes and projects for effective mainstreaming of gender;
• Provide technical guidance to development and evaluation of gender mainstreaming in EDPRS, DDPs and Performance contracts;
• Promote the use of gender disaggregated data across sectors;

• Develop tools and guide lines for effective monitoring of gender mainstreaming;

Job Qualifications
• Masters in Gender Studies or A0 in Law, Gender Studies & Development Studies with 1 year of experience in gender related work;
• Knowledge in Gender Mainstreaming skills;
• Knowledge in Gender Advocacy;
• Understanding of Gender issues
• High analytical skills;
• Being organized;
• Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills;
• Computer skills;
• Time management skills;
• Team working skills;
• Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/or French.
