JOB DETAILS:
- Provide legal opinions on cases and contracts engaging the City of Kigali in the area of land and public infrastructure management;
- Collect and safeguard decisions carrying jurisprudence as regarding appeal interesting the City of Kigali in terms of land and public infrastructure;
- Regularly identify and collect any policy, legislation including instructions, circulars and decisions affecting land and infrastructure management;
- Provide legal opinion and prepare documents and conclusions concerning litigious issues involving the City of Kigali for the Attorney General;
- Anticipate possible litigious risks likely to involve City of Kigali and proactively advises on mitigation measures;
- Facilitate the interpretation of applicable laws, instructions, regulations and procedures;
- Monitor the implementation of applicable laws, instructions, regulations and procedures;
- Advise One Stop Centre and or the Institution in general on the validity and conformity of procedures with the standing/applicable laws and regulations and seek for legal texts related to these requests;
- Analyse contentious files and/or requests emanating from users or agents of the institution, and prepare feedback intended for service users/seekers.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
