Job Description
- Develop annual media plan and consider it in the budget;
- Elaborate and negotiate contracts with radio and TV media for messages’ dissemination.
- Put in place mechanisms to keep good image of the organization;
- Organize and/or participate in press seminars and conferences involving the organization;
- Prepare brief and press releases for the leadership;
- Organize radio and TV broadcasts to inform the public on organization’s activities;
- Write articles to be published in newspapers on the organization’s mission achievement;
- Prepare and submits monthly activity reports to the hierarchy.
- Coordinate activities of Public Relation officers under his/her supervision;
Job Profile
- Master degree in Public Relations, Media, Journalism with 2 years of working experience or Bachelor degree in Public Relations, Media or Journalism with 4 years of working experience.
Key technical skills
- Ability tocarry out enquiries/survey from the public, the media, and related organizations;
- Able to speak in public at interviews, press conferences and presentations;
- Capacity to analyze media coverage;
- Knowledge in designing, writing and/or producing presentations, press releases, articles, leaflets, ‘in-house' journals, reports, publicity brochures, information for web sites and promotional videos;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- IT skills;
- Ability to prioritize and plan effectively;
- Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and French.
