Senior AI/ML Developer

TrimCheck is a platform for on-demand call out barbers & in-shop barbers. Consumers can search, book and pay for reviewed barbers at their chosen location.

The Role
Optimise Our Recommendation Engine & Train Deep Learning Models To Accurately Predict & Label Useful Attributes Such As Hair Types And Demographics From Images Using Advanced Image Segmentation Techniques - To Be Applied On Our Upcoming Inspiration Hub Which Uses NLP To Accurately Match User Search Intent With

• Nearby barbers that specialise in their hair type.
• Recommended hair products
• Haircut inspiration based on similar hair types.

You Will Be Responsible For
• Developing scripts to process structured and unstructured data.
• Recommending, developing and implementing ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality.
• Providing secure, stable, scalable and cost-effective solutions to facilitate storage, integration, usage, access, and delivery of data assets across the business.
• Writing high-quality code to build and deploy deep learning models. Ideal Profile

Requirements
• Experience applying a wide variety of ML & Deep learning techniques (clustering, artificial neural networks, decision tree learning etc.)
• Knowledge of advanced statistical & data mining techniques including: GLM, Random Forest, Trees, boosting, text mining etc.
• You possess a degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or related field.You have at least 4 years experience, ideally as an AI/ML, Data Engineer, Data Architect or Data Science role.
• Demonstrated experience working with large and complex data sets as well as experience analyzing volumes of data.
• Strong expertise in data modelling & querying large databases
• Expertise in Big Data, Data Modeling / Statistical Modeling, Data Mining & Knowledge Discovery, Data Warehousing, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Math / Statistics, Natural Language Processing, Predictive Modeling and Optimisation would be highly valuable.
• You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable dealing with numerical data
• You are highly results driven and work well in fast paced environments
• You enjoy finding creative and useful solutions to problems
