JOB DETAILS:
DP World Logistics Rwanda, would like to recruit qualified and experienced Senior Clearing Officer

Job Profile
• Monitor and examine daily declarations completed by staff.
• Ensure on time cancellation of all T1s arriving at bonded warehouse to get recover the bond amount.
• Track daily T1 transit cargo and ensure timely cancellation upon arrival at border destination such as Goma, Bukavu, etc.
• Oversee DP World Kigali’s account with the Electronic Single Window and generate reports for local and transit activities.
• Ensure files are regularly reviewed and closed to avoid fines or access revocation from the single window server.
• Provide accurate advice to clients and the company on customs valuation and procedures codes.
• Review final declaration made by team before sharing details with clients to prevent disputes or claims arising.
• Handle customs disputes for declarations submitted by DP World Kigali.
• Guide DP World Kigali and PTS operations/sales teams on various customs regimes used by clients or requested to be used by client.
• Update the company on ongoing matters involving customs dispute resolutions.
• Manage the temporary importation regime offered to clients.
• Administer the company’s account within the Single Customs Territory (SCT) and with Regional Customs Transit Guarantees.
• Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as RWAFFA, RRA Customs Department, and other customs authorities.
• Ensure that customs processes align with the organization's operational goals and customer needs.

Requirements and Qualifications
• Holder of the East Africa Customs and Freight Forwarding Practicing Certificate
• Degree in Logistics or related field
• Fully conversant with import & export customs regulations
• 4 years’ experience in a similar position
• Customer Oriented
• Integrity
• Proactive
