Job Description

Determine which data to present by deciding which are relevant to the mission of the Senate;

• Collect the relevant statistical data related to the mission of the Senate;
  
• Determine whether the data are best presented in the form of text, figures, graphs, or tables;
  
• Summarize the findings;
  
• Conduct statistical data analysis ;
  
• Provide a summary report;
  
• Provide recommendations.
  
• Identify the desired data and design data collection forms;
  
• Collect statistical data from different departments;
  
• Analyze and interpret the collected data;
  
• Report the findings;
  
• Publish a statistical report on Senate activities and provide based recommendations.
  
• Collect statistical data from different departments

• Assist in the preparation of terms of reference
  
• Develop methods and tools to be used in the surveys to produce the required data

• Present the results to the Senate
  
• Write reports and articles for publication.
  
• Develop Database Requirements;
  
• Review of statistical publications related to the fields of interest of the Senate;
  
• Extract the statistical data which is of interest of the Senate
  

Job Profile

A0 in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics.

Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:

• Knowledge of Database Management;
  
• Deep understanding of Research Methodologies and Statistics Concepts;
  
• Knowledge of Rwanda’s Justice Policies and Strategies;
  
• Knowledge of various statistical software packages;
  
• Knowledge to Prepares and publishes statistical and technical reports and research papers;
  
• Knowledge of the theory, systems and application of statistical research methodology;
  
• Computer Skills;
  
• Organizational Skills and Communication Skills;
  
• High analytical Skills;
  
• Time management Skills;
  
• Team working Skills;
  
• Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; knowledge of all is an advantage
