Job Description
- To supervise, lead and coordinate the work of the staff of the unit;
- To plan and organize all Surveys;
- To participate in the preparation of the Unit Annual Work Program, Budget, and Annual Report;
- To develop and maintain a network between producers and sociodemographic and socioeconomic statistics data users and ensure appropriate information is available and exchanged.
- To ensure that all statistics from surveys are produced and published in a timely manner according to deadlines;
- To ensure that all surveys activities are executed and done in a timely manner according to deadlines;
- To coordinate and supervise the elaboration and publication of thematic results reports;
- Draft the project document, for surveys;
- Develop a communication strategy for the surveys
- Supervise the publication of final statistical results,
- Coordinate the data analysis activities
- To work closely with Different Unit in charge of the particular survey
Job Profile
Bachelor Degree or Masters in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, agriculture, Labour, Demography, with at least four (5) years of experience in designing and conducting surveys;
Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:
- Demonstrated ability in designing and conducting the household, business/establishments, agriculture operator based surveys or censuses in Rwanda will be an added value;
- Experience in surveys/censuses data quality reviews;
- High Analytical Skills;
- Negotiation Skills;
- Knowledge of basic business and purchasing practices;
- Excellent Communication Skills;
- Time Management Skills;
- Decision-making Skills;
- Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; Knowledge of all is an Advantage.
- Computer Skills;
- Excellent abilities in the use of statistical software’s, including SPSS, STATA, and/or CSPro, etc.
