Terms of Reference (TOR) for Drilling Rig Operators

Background

Ngali Mining Ltd is seeking to recruit skilled and experienced Drilling Rig Operators for our upcoming projects. We require two operators for a period of three months and one operator for a period of six months.

Objectives

The primary objective is to ensure efficient and safe drilling operations to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Scope of Work

The Drilling Rig Operators will be responsible for:

• Operating drilling rigs and related equipment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
• Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on drilling equipment.
• Collaborating with the drilling team to ensure efficient and effective drilling operations.
• Monitoring drilling parameters and making necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
• Preparing daily reports on drilling activities and equipment status.
• Ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Duration

• Two operators will be engaged for a period of three months.
• One operator will be engaged for a period of six months.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience:At least seven (7) years of experience working as a drilling rig operator in reputable companies.
• Training:Training in drilling services is an added advantage.
• Certification:Relevant certifications in drilling operations and safety practices and a driving license category F.

Skills:

• Proficient in operating and maintaining drilling rigs and related equipment.
• Strong understanding of drilling techniques and procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness.

Reporting

The Drilling Rig Operators will report to the Drilling Supervisor or designated project manager.
