TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR AN INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT TO REVIEW AND UPDATE THE EXISTING INTERNAL PROCUREDURES AND OPERATIONS MANUAL(POM) FOR FAWE RWANDA CHAPTER
1.BACKGROUND
The Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) is a membership-based Pan-African Non-Governmental Organization that operates through 34 National Chapters in 33 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa to promote girls’ and women’s education. FAWE Africa was founded in 1992 with a mission to provide quality education for girls and women. FAWE Rwanda is one of 34 National chapters and was started in 1997. Since its inception, FAWE Rwanda has grown to become a reputable partner and focal point on female education in Rwanda.
The purpose of hiring the services of the consultancy is to review and update the existing FAWE Rwanda procedures and operations manual. The Individual consultant will consult the management of FAWE and the executive Committee and staff with the aim of understanding the context. The outcome should be a revised and updated POM which will improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, contributing towards appropriate internal controls, transparency and accountability of program participants, Executive Committee, partners and key stakeholders.

This assignment is expected to be carried out for a period of 30 days.
